When can I start lessons?

Baby Yoga classes are suitable for babies aged approx. 2 months onwards, after their 6-8 week medical check with GP ideally. Toddlers from over 1 year of age.

What should I wear?

We recommend you wear loose, comfortable clothing which allows you to move freely.

What do I need to bring to class?

Please bring a clean pair of socks to keep the mats clean for the babies and possibly a blanket for them to lay on. We ask outdoor shoes are removed by parents, visitors, walking babies, toddlers and siblings.

How many are in a class?

There can be up to a dozen babies or toddlers in each class.

What qualification does the teacher hold?

Your teacher will have been trained in baby yoga, will have taken a safeguarding course, will have had first aid training, will be DBS checked and will have insurance.

What if I miss a class?

If you can’t make a class you may be able to swap to another class that week or the week after if there is availability. There is also the option to ‘send a friend’ giving notice to the class lead. Missed classes will not be refunded.

If the class lead has to cancel a class an alternative will be offered or a refund given.

What if my baby or child is unwell?

If you feel your child is not well enough to attend class let your class lead know. You can send a friend by letting your class lead know first or perhaps attend an alternative class later that week or the week after if your child is well enough. If your child could pass something on to others it is recommended they rest at home, including but not limited to chicken pox, covid-19, scarlet fever, hand foot and mouth disease, norovirus, fever, vomiting/upset stomach, sickness or diarrhoea, heavy nasal discharge or eye discharge.

What if I’m running late?

Don’t worry if the class has already started you are still more than welcome to join.

What if my baby cries, needs feeding, does not want to partake in certain activities, or falls asleep?

It’s a baby class! Babies will cry, will need feeding, will fall asleep and should be able to take part in the class activities which they choice to. You are in a friendly, safe and understanding environment, the best to bring a baby into, so we hope you can relax in this knowledge and do whatever you need to do.

Can I bring a visitor to the class?

The class ticket is for one parent and one child. Discounts are available for twins and an extra adult welcome. Visitors are also welcome but we ask you contact the class lead to request a visitor prior to their attendance so they can manage class numbers for safety. In baby classes older siblings are welcome but for the safety of the babies these children must remain with their parents during class and ideally seated on the mat. Siblings are most welcome to join in the class but parents should be conscious of the comfort and safety of others and no running is permitted. In toddler classes babies are most welcome to attend, both baby and toddler are the responsibility of the parent and although class lead’s will always try and help they have a responsibility to all attendees to deliver the class. Babies are free in toddler classes until their 1st birthday and then they will require a paid space.

Who can take photos?

Your class lead who will be DBS checked may take photos during the class to share on social media with parents. If you do not want any photos of your child taken please make this clear before the class begins.

Unless otherwise advised before the class parents are welcome to take photos and videos of their own child throughout a class. However, this is at the sole discretion of the class lead, who may withdraw this right at any time. If you are going to share any photos or videos online for e.g. on social media they must ONLY contain the child/children for which you are responsible/able to give authority for. Some parents may not be comfortable with images of themselves or their child/children being shared.

If another parent/guardian is happy for you to share an image of their child/children on social media then you must obtain their explicit consent and YogaPupz is not responsible or liable in relation to this consent or any issues arising from the sharing of photos/videos.

Please ensure if you are to share any photos/videos that you check the privacy settings on your social media account to understand who else will be able to view any photos/videos that you share.

Please always be sensitive of taking pictures of others without their permission. There may be reasons around safeguarding that a particular child or parent is not to be photographed/posted on social media. If you are asked to stop, please do respect the rights of others, no explanation is needed by anyone as to why they are not comfortable. If you are uncomfortable with photographs being taken then please speak to the Class Leader to make them aware. Children will never be excluded from an activity because you haven't given consent for their photograph to be taken or for them to be filmed.

Do you offer pay as you go classes?

PAYG spaces are very limited due to majority of parents block booking full terms. However spaces may arise weekly and will be offered as taster classes or PAYG classes for community members.
